Company Spotlight: Zoey’s Pizzeria, Marion, Iowa
Working with Spencer and the team at Sheets Forest Draper, starting with Scott Draper a few years back was a perfect fit for me. I really feel like part of the family here. First Covid hit and then the Derecho tried to knock us out but I always felt that Spencer and his team “had our back” fighting along side us to rebuild and get back to business. I really feel like I have a partner in my business with Sheets Forest Draper, and for that I am grateful. -Denny, Zoey’s owner

Zoey’s started back in 1991 after I came out of the University of Iowa with an art degree and no business education at all. I did however have a love for Chicago style pizza after many trips to Chicago with a buddy to eat at Gino’s and Pizzeria Uno’s. I realized that this area needed something similar and set out to make that happen.
We started out being known for our Chicago style pizza and that is still the case I guess, but over the last few years our “Zookie”, has gained in local fame that I jokingly say that we’ve almost turned into a “Zookeria”.
I love that Marion has such a distinct and long standing independent personality with an ongoing eye towards the future. I am so excited to see how our community will innovate and grow in the coming years.
